The fire that has been burning since yesterday, 29/08, in Xylokastro of Corinthia has now entered the area of Akratas and moves towards Monasteryaccording to the Fire Department.

At the same time, according to ERT, the fiery front extends for 32 kilometers in the direction of Trikala in Corinthia. At the same time, the front towards Xanthohori and Vrysoules is in full development.
According to politeianews.gr, the communities of Monastiri and Perithori – located in the highlands of Aegira – and the neighboring local communities have appealed for voluntary participation of residents.

“The situation is tragic for the 2nd day in a row”
“The situation, due to the fire that broke out on Sunday in the Rosena area, remains tragic for the second day in a row”says Vlasis Tsiotos, the mayor of Xylokastro-Eurostin, speaking to APE-MPE.

Two wounded

Sadness for the two dead
