A short time ago, a call was made to 112, announcing that there was smoke in the stairwell in a block of flats in the municipality of Iasi, on Vasile Lupu street, floor 6/7, station 2 Băieți. From the first information held by BZI reporters, it seems that there is a fire at an electrical panel. The stairwell is flooded with smoke, and at least 50 people have been evacuated.
UPDATE: Burned about 100 kg of paper waste, about 200 kg of plastic waste and about 400 kg of wood waste (old furniture) stored on the secondary staircase. The probable cause of the fire was the use of open fire in closed spaces.
About 60 people were evacuated. No casualties were recorded.
UPDATE: The fire has been extinguished.
3 emergency and extinguishing vehicles, a rescue platform from above, and an extrication crew went to the scene. In support, a qualified first aid crew and a special vehicle for transporting multiple victims are moving.
