A fire in a five-story building, on the central Avenida América in La Paz, left a person with third-degree injuries this Sunday night. Another four were rescued unharmed by police officers who arrived at the scene.
“There was a fire on the first floor, possibly from bottles. Inside the home we have been able to rescue four or five people who were in the place, who were on the terrace and the second floor. There is an injured person, Possibly she is a minor, who has been transferred to another place. She has third-degree injuries,” one of the police officers who attended the case reported to a journalist sent to the scene by the UNO network:
The fire was controlled at approximately 8:00 p.m. and the Police are still investigating the origin of the flames, although they established that there was an old jerrycan deposit in the place.
One of the firefighters who entered the scene to help in the rescue, said that they could see an insecticide deposit at the scene, which fueled the flames.
