A fire broke out in a shed on the Muntweg in Emmeloord on Sunday around 4:45 p.m. There may have been casualties as a result. Several fire brigades from the region responded to the fire.
The barn, which was otherwise vacant, was completely reduced to ashes. The adjacent farm house was also empty. The fire brigade could not yet say how it was possible that injuries may have occurred. The person who tipped off the corps about the fire thought he heard cries for help. No asbestos was released during the fire. The fire brigade allows the barn to burn out in a controlled manner. However, a drone will be launched for further research.
The Muntweg between highway A6 and Kuinderweg is temporarily closed to traffic. Traffic controllers divert traffic.
