LIER: On the night of Friday, at 12.12, the emergency services responded to a report of a fire in a private garage in Lier.
The message was that there were open flames in the house on the spot, and after about 20 minutes the police reported on X that everyone living on the spot had been accounted for.
At 02.50 the police stated that the fire had been extinguished, but that there was still some smoke in the area.
Operations manager Øyvind Hammervold says at 06.00 that it is too early to say what is the cause of the fire, but that it will be revealed by the investigation.
A fire was reported in the garage, but as it is directly connected to the house, open flames were also detected in the house, says Hammervold.
– The fire service came to the scene and it was reported early on that the fire was under control.
It was a third party who reported the fire. Hammervold informs, however, that they quickly notified the residents and that the fire did not cause any injuries.
There were two in the house.
The police are opening a case.
