“For many of my neighbors it will be harder to start over, not everyone can rebuild a life in a few days and get back what they had before. Many people and many families need help. I truly hope that this situation will not be forgotten in a few days and that everything possible will be done to help all those who need it ». These are the words of Mahmood, the singer who lived in the 18-story building devoured from the flames last Sunday in Milan. “Today we will finally be able to see what remains of our personal effects,” he added in a story posted on Instagram.

In the hours immediately following the fire, Mahmood – whose house was on the 9th floor of the skyscraper – had said: “I’m fine. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Thanks to the firefighters for the incredible work done and to all of you for the messages. I love you. Life is Beautiful”. Many messages of affection received from the singer but also some attacks from the haters.
