A fire that started on Friday afternoon at a waste collection site in Karpathos is ongoing.

The fire, according to information, currently has a better image, but the winds are expected to intensify even more.
13 firefighters with 5 vehicles are operating at the scene, while assistance is provided by water tankers and OTA project machinery. At the same time, 30 forest commanders of the 1st EMODE are flying to Karpathos with an ATR aircraft.
