A fire in the Japanese city of Osaka is believed to have killed 27 people. The fire raged in an eight-storey building in the center of the metropolis.
The fire broke out on the fourth floor, where a psychiatric clinic is located. The fire was intense but short: within half an hour the fire brigade had extinguished the fire.
According to the fire service, 27 victims were found who showed no sign of life. It is assumed that they are deceased.
The police are investigating the cause of the fire. Arson is suspected, according to the Japanese news agency Kyodo.
