The condition is serious for more than 90 of the survivors, and the death toll could increase sharply, according to the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

The cause of Sunday’s fire in the camp, which is located south of the town of Sana, is currently unclear.

There have been several explosions in Sana on Sunday, after the Saudi-led military coalition bombed the Yemeni capital Sana on Sunday after the Houthi rebels sent several drones and rockets into the neighboring country.

Houthi rebels run the center, which houses more than 700 migrants. The rebels say their civil defense forces have extinguished the flames and that an investigation has been launched to find the cause of the fire.

A UN source says the fire broke out in a hangar near the main building. Most of the detained migrants were arrested in the province of Saada while trying to cross the border into Saudi Arabia, according to the source.
