Two residents were slightly injured in a fire in an upstairs apartment in Hilversum last night. The fire is probably deliberately lit. One person has been arrested.
The fire brigade received a report of the fire on Koninginneweg in Hilversum at 10.40 pm. The fire started in one of the homes above a shop on the ground floor. The fire spread to adjacent homes. As a precaution, 20 residents were evacuated. They were taken care of in a café nearby.
The suspect was arrested for possible involvement in the fire. It is not known what his or her role was, nor is it known how the fire was caused. It concerns a resident of the building.
