A fire broke out in a forest area near Variko in Florina on Tuesday afternoon (6/8).
As informed by the Fire Department, 22 firefighters have already been mobilized with 1 pedestrian group of the 8th EMODE, 6 vehicles, 2 aircraft and 1 helicopter.
Municipal water bodies are also assisting in the extinguishing work.

At the same time, the fire that has been burning since yesterday Monday in a forest area of the municipality of Prespa, Florina, on the Greek-Albanian border, has been brought under partial control.
