AUSTIN, Texas. – Authorities reported a house fire east of Austin where several people are believed to be dead. According to a social media post, Austin firefighters and medics responded around 11:00 a.m. to 2932 East 12th Street.

The area is just west of Airport Boulevard. Several people have been rescued from the fire and according to authorities at least one person was taken to a hospital with serious, possibly life-threatening injuries. Authorities are asking residents of the area to avoid driving through the area.
