Forty firefighters from the rescue centers of Ottange, Audun-le-Tiche, Hettange-Grande, Thionville, Yutz, Hagondange, Hayange and Moyeuvre intervened for a fire this Saturday evening August 6 in Ottange.
It was 6:49 p.m. when residents raised the alarm. Heavy smoke was coming from one of the 1600 m2 buildings of the former Profilest factory, at 6 rue des Vallons. Large resources, namely twelve vehicles, have been deployed to stop the spread of flames to adjoining premises, and thus limit the use of water in these times of restrictions.
At 9:30 p.m., firefighters were still on the scene as a precaution. The mayor of Ottange and the gendarmes made the trip as well as an agent from Enedis.
