Three fire brigade teams were sent to the scene
A fire in a three-story building in central Sofia miraculously escaped with no injuries or casualties. Several people live on one of the floors, including children.
Neighbors reported flames and smoke to the emergency health services shortly after 7:30 am. An ambulance and three fire engines immediately intervened on the spot.
Firefighters found that the fire broke out on the ground floor. It is uninhabited and there were often homeless people there, people say.
“I worked the night shift. Very lucky that my daughter was also with her friend. My neighbor called to tell me. It can’t be us because everything turns off when we go out. Now I don’t know what the condition of the roof is and if something will fall on my head, “comments a resident of the building.
