A report of the incident was received around 9.30pm on Monday

A furniture warehouse in Plovdiv’s Trakia district has caught fire. There were 6 fire trucks on the spot, confirmed for NOVA the director of the fire brigade in the city, Commissioner Georgi Mangarakov.

A report of the incident was received around 9.30pm on Monday. The fire engulfed a two-story building full of furniture, sofas and mattresses, which was due to open on June 1st. The burning rooms are located near other neighboring buildings, but they are not affected by the flames.

Extinguishing the fire lasted nearly 2 hours. It was attended by firefighters on duty from the district services in the regional city. The causes of the accident and the value of the damage are yet to be determined. No one was injured.
