A fire broke out in a family house in Winterthur ZH on Saturday evening. No one was injured, but there was considerable property damage.

Shortly after 21:30 on Saturday, the fire brigade of Schutz & Intervention Winterthur and the city police were alerted to a fire in the Dättnau district.
When rescuers arrived, smoke was already in much of the family home. The six residents of the house had already made their way to safety.
Investigations by the fire brigade revealed that a fire had broken out in the chimney insulation under the tiled roof.
The police have launched an investigation
The fire extinguishing work proved equally complex, as part of the roof had to be covered. Nobody got hurt.
The material damage is likely to exceed 100,000 francs. The municipal police of Winterthur, together with the fire brigade investigators of the Zurich cantonal police, have launched an investigation into the exact cause of the fire.
