PIEVE DEL GRAPPA – They empty the fire extinguishers in the gym closed and then, almost repentant, they try to use brooms and a cleaning machine to fix everything. But now the omelette was done and al group of vandals all that remains is to slip away into the night. It happened a few nights ago in gymnasium of the former middle school of Crespano di Pieve del Grappa in via San Carlo. The workers of the Municipality noticed the damage yesterday morning. They went to the building, which is currently closed because there are no activities in progress, for a normal control of the plants. The surprise was great, mixed with anger, when all the white powder of the fire extinguishers scattered on the floor were seen before their eyes. In addition, bottles of beer and other foodstuffs were also found which suggests that the group of youngsters, perhaps to deceive boredom, went inside the gym with the specific intent of having a spree. But then they realized that they had exaggerated and somehow tried to remedy it. As? Operating a cleaning machine, while others took brooms to repair the damage by sweeping away the dust. An afterthought which, however, was late and above all useless, in light of the conditions in which the gym was found.
THE INVESTIGATIONS
The carabinieri of Pieve del Grappa also went to the site yesterday and carried out the inspection to reconstruct the dynamics of the incident. It is surprising that there was no break-in to enter so either the boys found the door open or some of them were in possession of a key. The same soldiers are also trying to understand if the raid was filmed by some private cameras, given that the gym is located right in the center of Crespano. The episode, serious in itself, was also followed by the mayor Annalisa Rampin: «There were two fire extinguishers inside and they emptied them both. Let’s say that at least they have not committed any other free damage to the structure, so when the gym is cleaned it will be as before. In my opinion, given the situation, it was a little girl. I think they noticed it too as soon as they got back sober because they also tried to fix things, of course without success. Maybe they wanted to have a kids party but it didn’t go as they thought. Now we hope also with the help of the carabinieri to be able to identify those responsible and then we will evaluate what to do ».
