The alert was given around 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday: a violent fire was devouring part of the structure of the Fenwick company, which specializes in lifting and handling equipment.

Firefighters manage to limit the spread

The fire, which notably mobilized three vans and two large ladders, was able to be circumscribed around 4 a.m. and ultimately only affected part of the premises, dedicated to the maintenance and repair workshops, as well as the roof.

The presence of batteries and chemicals did not pose any technical problems for the firefighters.

Significant resources were still engaged, around 5 a.m., while the last reconnaissance operations, carried out in particular using a drone, continued.

The fire reportedly broke out in the part of the company dedicated to repair and maintenance operations.

Police personnel from the Clermont central police station are also on site and have made the very first observations in order to determine the origin of the accident, which remains undetermined.
