Vicopisano (Pisa), 14 August 2021 – The fire is back on Monte Pisano, in Spazzavento, Luchetta and Lupeta. For the moment the flames are in the municipality of Vicopisano. Several forest fire crews arrived on the scene.
Flames near the houses
They are trying to stem the flames as much as possible in an area that is not far from some houses but unfortunately the flames at the moment seem difficult to circumscribe. The smoke can be seen from miles away. In the evening it was decided to evacuation a dozen families for whom hospitality is being sought in public facilities. Some private individuals were also offered.
An army at work

The tragic precedent
It is a very extensive fire. The thought immediately returned to that September of 2018 when the flames they devastated Monte Serra in a fiery apocalypse.
