Fire destroys 32 stores in the Asa Branca market – Jornal OPaís

A large fire consumed a total of 32 clothing and footwear stores inside the Asa Branca market, in the municipality of Cazenga, in Luanda.

The fire, whose causes have not yet been detected, happened in the early hours of Saturday, affecting 32 wholesale commercial units, as revealed by the deputy coordinator of the Management Committee of that market, Ezequiel Seba.

According to the person responsible, with the burning of the stores, all filled with products, the total value of the loss of products caused by the fire is still unknown.

However, he explained, the final report is awaited from the competent authorities who have already been in space to assess the reasons behind the fire.

“We have already had the presence of the police, firefighters and ENDE technicians who are preparing the report to determine the real causes of the fire”, he highlighted.
