The Fire Department, after yesterday’s announcement regarding the operational activity of aerial vehicles during the days of the fire in Varnava Attica, issued a new announcement this afternoon.
It is recalled that yesterday SYRIZA launched an attack against the government, with Stefanos Kasselakis asking for the exact number of aerial vehicles that attempted to put out the fire.
As indicated in the announcement of the Fire Department on Monday a total of 36 aerial vehicles attempted and in particular the period from 19:30 to 21:00 was operated by 20 aerial vehicles.
At the same time, he notes that these data are officially recorded in the Engage system and cannot be challenged.
“Persistence in disputing these facts undermines the credibility of our operational commitment to our mission”the Fire Department is concerned.

“Regarding the operational activity of the aerial means of the Fire Brigade, relevant information was made public yesterday, Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
Especially for Monday, August 12, 2024, throughout the day on all fronts of the fire in northeastern Attica, a total of 36 aerial vehicles operated, and in particular, from 19:30 to 21:00, 20 aerial vehicles operated.
This is the official and undisputed record in the Fire Department’s Engage system, as well as airport control towers.
