Shortly before the Upfronts presentations, the broadcasters decide on old and new formats. CBS will soon have three new series. However, this time there is no comedy. A reboot to Early Edition also didn’t make it through the pilot phase. That’s what the new formats Fire Country, East New York and So Help Me Todd are all about.

Which new series did Magnum PI, Good Sam, B Positive, United States of Al or How We Roll have to give way to? CBS isn’t in the mood for a laugh these days because, for the first time in a long while, it hasn’t ordered a new comedy series.
