A fire broke out this Saturday, around 11:30 a.m., in a rental building located on Route de Nancy, in Ernestviller. The fire broke out in the apartment located on level -1, but the rapid intervention of the firefighters made it possible to contain it there, then to extinguish it, after 2 hours 45 minutes of operation. Fourteen firefighters and four trucks, from Sarralbe and Puttelange, took part.
Only one person was in the apartment and building at the time of the incident. Evacuated, she was observed by the rescuers, who did not detect any concern requiring a departure to the hospital. Her accommodation being out of use, she will be accommodated for the next few days at the Saint-Hubert hotel in Hambach.
The gendarmes will open an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
