A woman and her 1-year-old daughter were killed Tuesday morning in a fire at a Brooklyn residence, New York City Police said.
According to the report from the authorities, the incident began around 9:50 am on 6 Alice court and about 60 firefighters arrived at the scene. During the search, they found two victims, a 22-year-old woman and a one-year-old minor.
Both were transported to Interfaith hospital by paramedics and were pronounced dead. The cause of death of the woman and the little girl will be released by the forensic doctor.
The names of the victims have not been released.
The fire was brought under control nearly two hours later, around 11:18 am, the New York City Fire Department said.
The cause of the fire has not been determined and the investigation continues.
