Fire Caused by Lithium Battery of Electric Bicycle Injures Three in Bronx Building

Three people were injured in a fire caused by the lithium battery of an electric bicycle. The incident occurred in a building in the Tremont neighborhood of the Bronx.

Our colleague Camila Montenegro, from Univision 41, went to the six-story building, located on 178 Avenue and 182th Street. From there she confirmed that the incident occurred at 2:41 this Sunday and that the first floor apartment was the most affected.

Two people live in the property, but a third was visiting and unfortunately witnessed the fire, the reporter explained.

He was also able to get close to the electric bicycle that started the fire, completely burned.
