Will nobody come to New York soon if there’s a fire? Quite a few fire fighters in the metropolis are threatened with being sent on unpaid compulsory leave – if they do not immediately get vaccinated against Corona.
These firefighters are furious: The city of New York had obliged them to get vaccinated against the coronavirus by Friday. This provides for a vaccination mandate issued by Mayor Bill de Blasio. Around 50,000 municipal employees are affected – otherwise they face unpaid forced leave.
