Fire Brigade Rescues Adult and Children from Floating Car in Oldenzaal

The fire brigade rescued an adult and two children from a floating car in Oldenzaal in Overijssel on Sunday. The car drove near a tunnel. Due to the amount of water on the road as a result of the rain, the car started to float. The fire service was then called who removed the people from the car.

The adult and the two children are “safely back on dry land”, the fire brigade reports. According to the spokesperson, there is a lot of nuisance as a result of the showers, especially in Enschede and Oldenzaal.

More than ninety reports have been made about, for example, fallen trees and manhole covers that came loose.
