Again several garden huts and sheds on a river island in the Main in Würzburg have burned. On Tuesday evening, the fire brigade prevented the flames from spreading to adjacent trees, as the city of Würzburg announced on Wednesday. The huts were destroyed by the fire. They belonged to the Würzburg Naturheilverein. There had been a fire there several times in recent years – the police assume that most cases of arson were caused. A perpetrator could not be identified so far.

The cause of the fire is still unknown, police said on Wednesday. The damage is probably in the mid five-digit range. Nobody got hurt.
The last time there was a fire on the river island was in January. Unknowns had thrown an incendiary device through a window of the naturopathic association. However, the fire did not spread further at that time.
