Fire in apartment Delft
Earlier in the evening, a fire broke out in an apartment in an apartment building on Herman Gorterhof in Delft around 7.30 pm. The fire was discovered by the resident himself in the meter cupboard, reports the Haaglanden fire brigade. The fire on the seventh floor of the apartment building is now out.

In Almelo, the Twente fire brigade had to extinguish the fire with several fire vehicles in a storage room in a porch flat on Gerard Doustraat. It was scaled up to a major fire, but the fire was quickly out. Some residents were removed from their balconies for safety reasons, Tubantia reported. No people were injured.

Car wrecks on fire
According to Omroep Brabant, two car wrecks were again set on fire in Veen last night around 9.30 pm, where cars are regularly set on fire around the turn of the year. That happened on Wednesday evening as well.
