A warehouse in Isdamveien in Holmestrand started burning on Friday evening. A safety distance of 100 meters was set, but this was lifted.
– We have extinguished the fire in the warehouse section where it started, says on-duty fire chief Jarle Steinnes in the Vestfold Intermunicipal Fire Service (VIB) on Twitter.
Fire-damaged vehicles are located there. There is also damage in eleven other sections of the building, where there is also a lot of smoke.
– The crews lock in and break open each individual section above to gain control. So far, fortunately, there is cold smoke in the sections we have already checked, says Steinnes.
The police in the Southeast believe the fire may have started in a car that was parked in a warehouse.
The warehouse building is approximately 700 square meters and over two floors.
