On Monday night, the emergency services were notified of a fire in an operating building on Sandsøya outside Harstad.
There were then 250 sheep in the building.
Fire Chief Ove Frantzen says iHarstad that around eight crews from Harstad moved out.
– Otherwise, it is local and skilled crews from Øyriket who assist, he says.
A smoldering fire must have occurred in a manure cellar on the site.
The fire brigade was notified of the fire just before 11 pm.
– They are working to evacuate the animals. Otherwise, I do not have a full overview of the situation, says Frantzen at 2345.
At 00.20, the Troms police district reports that the fire has been extinguished.
Two lambs were slightly injured in the fire.
– The fire will be the subject of further investigation.
