Around 4 a.m. on the 28th, residents in the neighborhood heard the sound of horns and explosions at the Suzuki Vending Yamagata Arena Okita in Kanaike 8-chome, Yonezawa City, noticed a fire, and called 119. The fire was extinguished after approximately 30 minutes by the fire department, but five light passenger cars parked in the vehicle lot were completely destroyed.
No one was inside the company at the time and no one was injured.
According to the police investigation, three of the five cars that were completely burnt out were broken down cars that had not yet been repaired, and the police and fire department were conducting a live inspection of the scene from 9:00 a.m. to determine the cause of the fire.
