Fire at the Robert Koch School – Police reports: Neuwied district

On Friday, August 2, 2024 at 12:53 p.m., several reports were received about a fire on the roof of the Robert Koch School in Linz.

The roof of the building was on fire. Thanks to the swift intervention of a patrol that happened to be nearby, the fire was prevented from spreading quickly by using fire extinguishers. The volunteer fire brigade from the Linz district arrived shortly afterwards and took over the extinguishing work, which is currently still ongoing. No one was injured.

In connection with the investigation into the cause of the fire, the police are looking for witnesses who may have seen one or more people climbing onto the scaffolding currently located at the school or onto the roof of the school.
