Flames yesterday morning, shortly before the rain hit the ground, in the gardens of the former Acismom premises, in via Santoriello in Pregiato di Cava de’ Tirreni.
The premises border the nursing home structure which is accessed from via. Fear for the safety of the elderly guests who, fortunately, despite the acrid smell of burning, did not experience any discomfort. The flames, which started from the vegetation of the garden of the structure, once the seat of Pneumology, burned the sheaths and shutters of the windows overlooking the street. Fortunately, the premises, assigned to the new managers of the facility for the elderly, are still empty: until recently they were occupied by assignees of the new council houses awaiting permanent transfer. Always the object of discontent for water infiltration, the structure has been inhabited for a long time: years ago it housed the office for Adi procedures, home assistance for the disabled, managed by the excellent and now lamented doctor Prisco.
