Just before midnight, Tromsø firefighters reported that they stopped putting out the fire from inside the house in Sør-Tromsøya, which started burning just before 9pm on Wednesday night.
– We have finished switching off from the inside and now we are working only from the outside. We are working to prevent it from spreading, says Tor Magne Haldorsen at 110 Central.
– Is that a sign that you have more control?
– It’s a little hard to say, but we’re doing what we can to put out the fire. From how it sounds now, it may take a while for it to go out.
