Fire affects two homes in Los Angeles: One was completely destroyed

A large fire mobilized emergency teams in the Los Angeles commune, where the first alarm was even activated to provide support to several units.

At 9:30 p.m., residents of Villa Padre Hurtado, specifically in the Tapihue passage, in the provincial capital of Biobío, alerted about the situation. In response, three companies of the Fire Department were dispatched.

This was detailed by Marcelo Ortega, commander of the Fire Department, who reported that “When the first unit arrived, the fire alarm was raised, as there was a house completely engulfed in flames and the fire was spreading.”

«According to protocols, two more units were dispatched, the air support, and the institutional ambulance, and after an hour and a half of work, the fire was completely controlled.“, he added. “Regarding work, it was smooth, the people in the sector were quite cooperative, so we had no complaints about it.“, he explained.

Finally, it was reported that, unfortunately, one home was completely destroyed by the flames, while a second one was 30% damaged, specifically on the second floor of the structure.

It is now up to the Technical Department to determine the cause and origin of the flames, which fortunately did not leave anyone injured.
