JawaPos.com – As of 2023, Free Fire features the OB38 patch update which will be available starting January 11th. Not only that, Free Fire also announced the first global collaboration this year with the popular game Devil May Cry 5 which will be available in February.
The OB38 patch promises many new things
This part of the regular Free Fire patch brings major changes to Free Fire with various optimizations to provide the best gameplay experience for Survivors. Apart from that, this update on Free Fire aims to increase the competitive level of the game with various gameplay changes.
First, there is a ranking system that invites players to be the best at using various weapons in Free Fire. Players who enter the Top 100 in each Weapon will get a special Title to show their ranking on the Regional (Provincial) and National scales. Clash Squad and Battle Royale modes will have separate leaderboards.
Then, the Battle Royale mode will be even more exciting with an arsenal of weapons or an Arsenal containing items from airdrops to level 3 weapons. As many as 5-6 Arsenals will be scattered across each map and can only be opened with a special key that can be obtained through random loot or purchased through vending machines.
In addition to this, players will also receive new items in the form of a Loot Radar that automatically detects loot and a Jammer that works to eliminate traces of player movements by the opposing team.
In the Battle Royale Solo mode there is also a novelty where players can auto-wake once per match. This opportunity will only be available for the first 3 minutes of the game.
Changes in the characters of Kenta and Skyler
To make the game more challenging and more balanced, Free Fire will make changes to the characters of Kenta and Skyler. Kenta’s character change will allow him to use his shield while he’s shooting.
The 5m wide shield emitted by Kenta’s Swordsman’s Rage ability can reduce damage from the front by 50%. When the shield is used while shooting, the damage from the front will be disrupted by 10 percent.
Meanwhile, Skyler’s character Riptide Rhythm ability will be replaced with damage per second so that the time to destroy Gloo Walls will be longer. Additionally, the HP Recovery features are also removed. With this change, Survivors can max out Gloo Wall to defend against Skyler’s attacks.
