BARCELONA, 7 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Fira de Barcelona has renewed its adherence to the Commitment to Sustainable Tourism Destination Barcelona Biosphere, framed in the commitment to sustainability and responsible and quality tourism.
The badge, obtained for the first time by Fira in 2020, is promoted by the Barcelona City Council and the Barcelona Provincial Council with the collaboration of the Barcelona Chamber, according to a statement from the company this Friday.
The seal recognizes companies that promote management that is respectful of the environment, culture, working conditions, gender equality and social and economic return, and its main objective is that Barcelona is a sustainable destination.
The general director of Fira de Barcelona, Constantí Serrallonga, has indicated that this renovation reinforces the commitment to “turn Barcelona into a leading city in the fight against climate change and in sustainable and quality tourism”.
Fira de Barcelona is also part of the Barcelona City Council’s Citizen Commitment to Sustainability, which aims to make the city more livable, efficient and sustainable.
