Fiorentina emerge as favorites to win West Ham ace Felipe Anderson

Fiorentina could swoop in for West Ham striker Felipe Anderson, according to a new report in Italy.

The Brazilian cost the Hammers a club record of £ 36 million in the summer of 2018.

But despite a promising first season and flashes of talent since, Anderson has missed out on London Stadium.

Earlier this month we reveal that Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti was considering a move for Anderson.

The 27-year-old is on loan at Porto. But he has had a fight with coach Sergio Conceicao and is ready to be sent back to London.

But, as we reported, it is not that simple. According to FIFA guidelines, Anderson would have to stay with the Hammers until the end of the season.

However, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, FIFA and UEFA will relax their transfer regulations. Current rules dictate that you can’t play for more than two clubs in a season, which Anderson has done after briefly playing for the Hammers before moving to Portugal.

Nothing has emerged from the Everton field. But it is a different story in Italy.

Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness) is running as a story that Fiorentina is showing interest and is ready to make an offer.

Anderson alternative to Atalanta ace

Papu Gomez from Atalanta is Atalanta’s first choice. But it will be difficult to persuade his rivals in Serie A to do business.

Gazzetta therefore offers two alternatives. They are Anderson and Aleksandr Kokorin from Lokomotiv Moscow.

Anderson, at his best, he is both a scorer and a provider of goals.

Came to West Ham with a great reputation and that was forged in Serie A.

His stock in Italy remains high after five seasons at Lazio. He scored 34 goals in 177 appearances for the club before West Ham entered.

Anderson came on loan to Porto in October 2020, but has only played twice.

The Brazilian has won two games for his country, the last in 2019.
