Today, 230 asylum seekers without proper documents arrived in Finland from Russia.

The government decided to open two border crossing points on the eastern border on December 14: the Vaalima checkpoint and the Niirala checkpoint. However, on the very first day, more than 100 asylum seekers arrived from Russia, after which the authorities closed the eastern border for a month.
