Finnish actor closes his restaurant in Helsinki with the film “National Hunting Peculiarities”

The famous Finnish actor Ville Hapasalo, who is known for his roles in the films “Peculiarities of National Hunting” and “Cuckoo”, has temporarily closed his Soviet cuisine restaurant “Davai Davai” in Helsinki, the Finnish media reports.

Russia’s war with Ukraine has also affected the idea behind the restaurant, the actor said.

Davai Davai’s menu included dishes typical of the Soviet Union, but in the current circumstances, the association with the Soviet Union is markedly negative.

“The reason for the closure is the political situation in the world. In these times, the theme of the restaurant seems awkward,” Hapasalo explained.

The restaurant is not closed at all and is expected to open in a new format in the autumn.
