The summer flight schedule includes the following changes: Between April 4 and October 24, Finnair will offer three additional connections a week on Monday, Thursday and Saturday. In addition, a fourth connection will start on Tuesdays between May 4th and October 24th. During the high season from June 8th to August 30th, a fifth weekly connection to New York will be added every Tuesday.
Connection for 50 years
Finnair has been connecting Europe and New York for over 50 years. The Finnish airline is currently taking passengers from Helsinki to New York and back once a day. Finnair is increasing its current offer by a total of 250 flights. Finnair mainly uses the Airbus A350 on this route.
“Our JFK flights have been a central offer for over 50 years and we are now very pleased to finally use the Airbus A350 on this very important route for Finnair,” says Ole Orvér, Finnair’s Chief Commercial Officer.
“Our customers enjoy great flexibility when preparing their summer trips, as they can combine Finnair flights with the offers of our transatlantic partners”, so Ole Orvér.
Finnair has been working together with the other Oneworld members American Airlines, British Airways and Iberia since 2013. Finnair serves five American destinations, including year-round flights to New York JFK and Los Angeles LAX, as well as seasonal flights to Chicago O’Hare, San Francisco and Miami. (red)
