All NATO members have ratified Finland’s application for membership in the alliance, Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marina announced on her Twitter account.

In her post, she expressed her gratitude to all the countries that have supported Finland’s efforts to join NATO. The politician emphasized that as allies, Finland will both provide and receive support in the field of security.
Marina also reminded that Finland will support Sweden’s efforts to join the military alliance.
Finland’s application has now been ratified by all members and we will join NATO. Thank you to all countries for your support. As allies, we will give and receive security. We will defend each other. Finland stands with Sweden now and in the future and supports its application.

The admission of new members to NATO requires the support of all members of the alliance.
The last country that had not yet ratified Finland’s accession to NATO was Turkey, whose parliament did so unanimously on Thursday shortly before midnight, according to foreign media.
