Finland’s accession to NATO will not ensure the security of the Russian Federation – tsn.ua

Finland’s accession to NATO will threaten Russia, as the expansion of the North Atlantic Alliance makes the continent unstable.

“If you remember, there is an instruction from the current President and Commander-in-Chief to develop a list of measures to strengthen our western flanks in connection with the strengthening of NATO’s eastern flank. NATO is moving in our direction. Therefore, of course, all this will become elements for a special analysis and development of the necessary measures to to balance the situation and ensure our security,” Peskov said.

Recall that in a joint address, President Sauli Niinostio and Prime Minister Sanna Marin announced their intention Finland to join NATO.

“Finland must urgently apply for NATO membership. We hope that the national steps still needed to achieve this solution will be quickly taken in the coming days,” the statement said.

Recall, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia and a close associate of Russian President Vladimir Putin, said that Moscow to deploy nuclear weapons and hypersonic missiles in Kaliningrad, Russian enclave in the center of Europe if Sweden and Finland join NATO.
