“From tomorrow, Finland will be a full member of the alliance,” Stoltenberg told reporters in Brussels.
Stoltenberg said Turkey, the last country to ratify Finland’s membership in the alliance, would present the official documents to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on Tuesday as NATO foreign ministers gather in Brussels. Stoltenberg said he would then invite Finland to do the same.
On Tuesday afternoon, a ceremony will be held at NATO headquarters and the Finnish flag will be added to the flags of the other member states.
