The country’s president made a corresponding decision today, December 20. This is the eleventh delivery of military aid from Finland to Ukraine. The total value of all defense aid packages delivered by Finland to Ukraine is €189.2 million.
“The battle for Ukraine’s defense continues. The need for protective equipment is great. We will continue our support,” said Finnish Defense Minister Antti Kaikkonen.
To ensure the safe delivery of aid, the content, delivery method and delivery schedule will not be disclosed. It was reported that the new military assistance package took into account the requests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had addressed the Finnish government asking for a new military aid package.
Furthermore, Finland has decided that the Ukrainian military will continue to participate in the training program for the Ukrainian army in Great Britain until the end of 2023. In August, Finland sent around 20 instructors to London for this purpose.
