Finished La Tourelle and its negative image: the Sarcelles high school is now called Maryse Condé

His name now appears in large, brand new white letters on the dark facade of the entrance building. This Friday, the Tourelle high school in teal officially became Lycée Maryse Condé. A change of name which makes the Val-d’Oise establishment the first in metropolitan France, and only the second in France with a college in Guadeloupe, to bear the name of this great French writer, born in Pointe-à-Pitre. in 1937.
