Police have today found the remains of a human in Karasjok, after a reindeer herder notified the police of the discovery of clothes.
The remains have been found in the same area as 78-year-old Nils Kristian Guttorm was reported missing on 5 August last year.
The clothes found match the descriptions of what Guttorm was wearing when he was reported missing, and no one else is missing in the area.
– The police therefore assume that it is the missing 78-year-old, but can not determine this with certainty until forensic investigations have been made that can confirm the security ID, the police state in a press release.
The relatives have been notified that there may be missing persons who have now been found.
