TRIBUN-PANTURA.COM, SLAWI – Regent Umi Azizah stated the importance of increasing public acceptance of the status of people living with HIV-AIDS (PLWHA) to prevent discrimination or exclusion from the social environment.
With public acceptance, according to him, the prevention of HIV-AIDS will be easier to do.
He said, the target to reduce the number of new infections, as well as minimize the death of PLWHA, and eliminate stigmatization and discrimination of people living with HIV-AIDS is a big mission that is targeted to be achieved by 2030.
“The approach and socialization of HIV/AIDS, especially regarding its transmission, need to be intensified and expanded,” said Tegal Regent Umi Azizah, who is also the head of the AIDS Commission (KPA). Tegal Regency, Tuesday (12/21/2021).
