Finding Peace on the Family Farm by the Fjord: A Pandemic Journey

Now they have found peace on the family farm by the fjord.

– Felleskjøpet has green work suits in all sizes. I secured four for the whole family, and it will probably be this year’s Christmas card picture, laughs Shadai Stana as she looks at her son Samson.

Stana is located by the Sørfjorden – with a view of the fjord, mountains and fonn. Below the red yard is a craft shop and a few residences.

It started during the pandemic. Bård Stana (33) started gardening in the city of Albany, north of New York. He lived there with his wife Shadai Stana (32) and children Lena (5) and Samson (6).

– I saw how much he missed being on the farm. We started talking about what it would be like for our children to grow up on his family farm in Hardanger. And concluded that they would love it, says Shadai Stana.
